The SE-5A plan is taken from Model Aviation, September 1976 B.C. (Before Corruption). The plan is of exceptionally good quality and encourages an SE-5 lover like your editor to start choppin' balsa. The wood sizes are typical for Peanuts but experience indicates they need to be smaller for serious competition. The 1/16" sizes should be replaced by 1/20" for a fearsome Peanut SE-5A. But if, like your editor, those smaller wood sizes are devastated by your clunky fingers, why not enlarge the plan to 150%, providing a wingspan of 19-1/2" but using the same wood sizes, hmmmm? Thanks to Cactus Squadron for providing the Peanut plan in their November 2000 issue.
