The Me262 plan does not show any insignia and not much on markings and details. The 2007 FAC Rule Book allows 16 scale points for these two classifications, and this could be the winning difference. Recall that the flight times at our 1992 event suggest typical times in the range of 20 seconds, so it behooves a serious competitor to dig up some good documentation and go beyond the minimum shown on the plan provided. Discussion with Scale Judge Dick Adams indicates that showing only what's on the plan will net only 2 points for details and 2 points for color and markings. So additional work in these areas should pay off handsomely. Some fun, eh what?
